Virtual Training Setup Guide

Turn Your Classic Trainer into a Smart Trainer

VirtualTraining Setup

What is Virtual Training?

Virtual Training is an application or software program wherein bike riders can tackle routes online and add some fun to their indoor miles.

Thanks to advances in technology you can now ride real routes across the globe in Rouvy or attend a group ride inside a volcano in Zwift, and that’s only the beginning.

Software Compatibility for CycleOps Non-Smart Trainers

Even though classic (or non-smart) trainers lack the built-in technology of smart trainers, they are still compatible with most virtual training platforms.

To get started you'll need:

  • Your bike
  • Your indoor trainer
  • An ANT+ or Bluetooth speed sensor

Don't have a speed sensor? An ANT+ or Bluetooth speed/cadence sensor, heart rate monitor, or power meter would do the trick too.
