Forget stationary bikes and leave techno-infused cycle studios behind you. You're ready to build your own home gym—for roughly the same cost as one month at a spin studio. Easy to set up with your bike and fun to use, our Wind trainer lets you turn any room into your own cycle haven.

  • Vortex blade design generates progressive resistance.

  • Progressive resistance offers the widest resistance range and road-like feel.
  • Adjust tire fit to resistant unit with a convenient turn knob.
  • Precision-machined alloy roller reduces tire wear and slippage.
  • Our least quiet trainer, the Wind's noise level at 20 mph is 84-86 decibels.
  • Eccentric leveling feet allow for easy adjustment on uneven surfaces.
  • Comes on the CycleOps foldable Classic frame with spring loaded, bolt-action lever.
  • 2" resistance unit roller allows for 650b, 700c, 26", 27" and 29" wheel sizes – up to a 2.0 tire.
  • This trainer is designed to fit common road and mountain bike frames with included steel quick release skewer and has three settings for rear dropout spacing: 120mm, 130mm and 135mm.
  • Trainer tire recommended.
  • CycleOps VirtualTraining compatible.
  • All of our trainers are tested to the combined weight (rider and bike) of 300 lbs.

Is there a particular brand or tire size that will NOT work?

      A:

We recommend trainer tires, otherwise a slick roadbike tire (any tire with no tread) will work.

I have had this trainer for several years. It has begun vibrating and making a lot of noise. Is there an adjustment or replacement part I can look into or is it dead? Please help me figure this out. Thanks

Riding on a trainer, outside, below zero! Thought we were tough here in Wisconsin.

Sure, the wind trainer would be safe to ride but I would bring it back inside when you are done.

Generally the furthest out setting is going to be for 135 and 142mm spaced bikes the middle for 130mm spaced bikes and the closest setting for 120mm spaced bikes.

The size of the tire will fit fine but it could cause more noise than typical due to the tire not being completely smooth, but it will work.

    Q:

    Two questions:
    1. I saw on Amazon CycleOps WIND trainers in black, and in grey. On your web-site there is only the black version listed. Is the grey version a previous edition, if yes, what is the difference between the two?

    2. Are there any magnetic parts in the WIND trainer?
    Thank you.

      A:

Yes, the grey are older version of the trainer and the color is the only difference. No there are no magnetic parts in the wind trainer.
