I use a PC with my Ant. not sure if it's the same with a Ipad.
                            This is how I connect.
Make sure your Ipad's Bluetooth is on.
Open virtual ride and, at the bottom left, look for "setting and Click on it.
                            Next screen
Look for 'Bike", at the top click on it.
                            Next screen
Scroll down and look for "select trainer", this should give the option of which trainer you have, and click on your Trainer..
It should find your trainer, and say connected.
                            Hope this helps

You need to check if the Power Sync is a Bluetooth or ANT+ trainer. I don't know. The MacBook will have Bluetooth but if it's an ANT+ trainer you will need this mini USB stick. Contact Cycleops.

That's correct, plug and play, as long as your powerbeam unit is Ant+ (ie. not Bluetooth).

Yes, it should work with Zwift. The Ant+ USB will allow you to transfer any device that is ANT+ compatible i.e. speed cadence, heart rate, or wheel speed sensor to the Zwift application.
I have the same Ant+ USB device working with Cycleops Virtual Trainer CVT and it brings all three of my devices (heart rate, cadence, speed) into CVT. CVT then calculates the power from my Fluid2 (using the trainer speed versus power curve) and I have power displayed in my CVT application. Works great.

Yes I think all ANT+ sticks should be the same but you will also need to have a power/speed or cadence sensor on your bike because the Fluid2 is not a Smart Trainer.

                            Hi, insightful question.
It seems to be a generic ANT+ stick. At least it works just fine for us with a CycleOps Fluid2 trainer and Zwift.A tip is to get a USB cable to go with the stick. With a cable, the stick can be placed closer to the bike sensors and it is easier to keep track of. The stick is surprisingly small.

Will the software calculate my speed when using my power tap hub? Do I need a separate speed sensor if I already have a power tap hub?

Hi. I have an SL PowerTap hub and it calculates my speed without the need of a separate speed sensor.

It should do it all without any additional sensors

This sensor will show your power and speed on the virtual program

I bought this item to use with Cycleops proprietary training software, but the software does not work with my older PT trainer, so I cannot answer your question.

No, and seperate sensors aren't necessary either, though can be helpful. Powertap hubs are compatable platforms of measurement to the software.

If you already have an ANT+ trainer you would not need another.

Will this ANT+ USB allow the Virtual Training to work with a television that does not have ANT+ or Bluetooth? It's a newer TV with USB ports, just not either wireless feature.
