Virtual Route of the Week: Passo Pordoi

This high-mountain route starts at the end of Alba and passes through Canazei where the real ascend begins. Located 12 km away from Canazei, it features more than 25 hairpin turns. Passo Pordoi is also one of the 4 passes of the Strada delle Dolomiti (Dolomites Road), a road built in the beginning of the 20th century to link Bolzano with Cortina and is the highest surfaced road in the Dolomites. And in the Giro d´Italia, this route is commemorated by a monument dedicated to the champion of champions, Fausto Coppi.
