What are your most important power training metrics?
Don’t have one yet.

What are your goals for 2010?
The three peat in Kona, convince my wife we need to add one more to our brood of kids.

What are you pre-event rituals?
Wake up early and avoid waking the family. Coffee !!

What are your must-haves on race day?
ALL my race equipment, as well as sunscreen and my road ID band. Family to cheer me one and take me home at the end of the day.

What is your favorite pre-event meal?
Neri’s Chicken risotto, fresh juice or a choccie milk shake.

What is your favorite post-event meal?
Mexican food. A big burrito with chicken, black beans, cheese and guacamole, or good old beer and pizza.

What is your greatest achievement/proudest moment in your sport?
Winning the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii in 2008 and 2009; Ironman 70.3 World Championship in 2006

What is your favorite race?
A toss up between the St Croix IM 70.3 and Kona. Both unbelieveabe locations. We have great friends at both places and have spent good chunks of time there getting to know and love them both.

What is your guilty pleasure?
With out a doubt Cadbury’s chocolate, luckily I don’t feel guilty tucking into it.

What do you do when you’re not training?
Hang out with Neri and the kids and go out on daughter dates. Drink coffee, hang out by the ocean.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Well I went thru University to become an engineer, then a scientist and finally finished with a physiotherapy degree. Funny how I’m not using any of them. I actually wanted to be a professional footballer.
